The U.S. Sport Aviation Expo, held every year in Sebring, Fla., will change to a new Wednesday to Saturday format next year, organizers said last week. Previously, the event was scheduled for Thursday to Sunday, but many visitors chose to spend Sunday traveling home, leading to lower attendance for the final day. "Amending our dates seemed like the best way to offer a better event for both our exhibitors and ourvisitors, " said Expo Director Jana Filip. The event is scheduled for January 14-17, 2015.

The Expo also is extending a welcome to homebuilders to attend the event. "We know they have many similar product needs as owners of light-sport aircraft, so the Expo is a great place for homebuilders to shop as well, " said Filip. The Expo also will continue to offer onsite overnight camping for those who fly in, Filip said, which was first introduced this year. The number of exhibitors is expected to expand slightly for next year - this year's Expo hosted 140 exhibits, and in January there will be 160 spaces available, Filip said.
